The Life of Harmony

Harmony McClory was born and raised in San Diego, California. She turned 16 in the foster system, and was in the foster system till she was 18. She was 16 when she had her first child. Her father and mother were drug addicts also in and out of jail during her childhood. Harmony realized that she didn’t want her family to end up how she did.

So she went to Lindsay Community Day School to receive her high school diploma. She got her diploma and went to San Diego City College. Where she received two degrees, one in child development and the other in Black history. Harmony is now a kindergarten teacher in San Diego. She was almost married, but noticed that she didn't want anybody to rule her life besides her. She and her 12 year-old daughter spend lots of time together and help other in the foster system

My Personal Goals

  1. This term I'm very proud of myself for finishing my math credit. So now I don't have to do math until college.
  2. I could improve my grade, but i'd rather improve my attitude. I can improve my attitude by thinking positive or sharing dawn's good energy. HAHAHA!!!
  3. My academic goal for this term is to finish my independent books before January 2009.
  4. My two overall goals for this year is to finish high school and go to college.
  5. The goal I have for Ebony in the next six months is for her to play by herself on the playground.

Tonga-Climate

WHAT I LEARNED ABOUT TONGA'S CLIMATE

Tonga is known as an archipelago (a small group of islands) in the south Pacific Ocean. It has 176 islands, but only 36 are being used. Those 36 islands are divided into 3 main groups Tongatapu being the largest. The capital of Tongatapu is Nuku'alofa. The geographical coordinates for Tonga is 20 South and 176 West. These islands are warmer December-April and cooler May- November. Every year it rains about 67- 117 inches. March is the windy period of the year. Humidity is at 80% daily. October- April there are chances of cyclones (a lot of wind that moves in a circular motion), earthquakes and volcanic activty at Fonuafo'ou or at Late'iki. Most island also have limestone which is produced by the coral reefs.

WORDS AL!VE

YES ON PROP 2...

Hens laying eggs

Prop 2 demands that farm animals such as pigs, hen and cows should have the freedom to move around.

I say yes on Prop 2 because animals, like humans, should be able to move freely. When the animals can't move they develop no muscles and get dirty. So say no on Prop 2!!!
